So how did they achieve such popularity? The show features a combination of two things often seen as opposites, pop culture and science. This interesting blend made fans amazed by how well it worked, making them want to feast for more.

In a show were the characters show a great love for science and pop culture, it surprisingly has a massive comedic affect. However each character’s insecurities and personalities make them loveable but can sometimes result in lack of audience laughter. In the sense of not getting that same energy match when two characters are put to a conversation. For example, a person walks into a room and shout’s with positivity to another person in the room. In witch the person responds with something not in tune with that positivity. This example shown in a show were a live audience is expected to laugh a lot is un advised. As like I said it can result in lack of laughter. (When the audience don’t get that energy match between the characters).
Why this isn’t a problem for TBBT.
The reason being why this isn’t a problem is because each and every character match the same energy between them in the show. Meaning fans find it more enjoyable than example’s like the one a gave in the previous paragraph. Another thing that makes this show so significant is that unlike lot’s of other sitcoms it doesn’t use a laugh track it uses a live audience.
So what actually makes it so funny? The answer to that is a simple joke after joke, witch successfully results in constant audience laughter.
