For about over a year now we’ve known about a Secret Project of Scarlet Johansson’s in the MCU. That it’d be produced and possibly directed by her, originally it was believed that this Secret Project was Nomad. But, now, it seems that this project is going to be based on an unfamiliar Marvel character ‘Blonde Phantom’. A very unknown Marvel character, so why make this a secret project? This very question ran through my mind when I heard this, meaning, will Kevin Fige allow for there to be a project on such a lesser known Character? Yes he could very well do, but, with everything that has happend with Marvel recently. – Do they really want to take a risk with this new project?
This information is coming from GIANT FREEKEN ROBOT, who reported on X about what this Secret Project is. They stated – “We’ve known for over a year now that Scarlet Johansson is working on a Secret Project with Marvel. It’s a secret no more.” We’ve exclusively learned that Scarlet Johansson is working on turning The Blonde Phantom into a Disney+ series for Marvel. “Though Blonde Phantoms costume is basically just a slinky red evening gown topped of by a domino mask, she carries a gun. Unlike most Marvel heroes she has no problem shooting. Will Scarlet Johansson keep the gun? We’ll see.”

Scarlet Johansson’s Secret Project: To Big a risk for Kevin Fige to take?
This is really intriguing because, like I mentioned, this project is a huge risk, and Kevin Fige can’t afford any more gambles right now. Adding to the risk, there’s hype about Scarlett Johansson playing the character. I don’t think this should happen since we’re so used to her as Black Widow. Jumping into a completely new role would be a massive change, especially for a character that many fans aren’t familiar with. Luckily, I doubt Fige would let this happen. Consider the facts: Kevin Fige has faced a lot of criticism for the recent direction of Marvel. Doing something like this would only add to that criticism.
So, is there hope for this series? Well, sort of and no. It’s an unexplored character, which makes Fige curious. But it’s also a lesser-known character and a huge, maybe even too big a risk for Marvel.
However, with Secret Wars on the horizon, we’re expecting tons of exciting variants. So, could the Black Widow star return as a variant of Blonde Phantom? I think this would be the perfect way to introduce the character. Sure, a series where she produces and possibly directs would be fascinating, but it might be too big a gamble for Marvel. Personally, I believe in taking risks and dreaming big. But for Marvel’s current situation, playing it safe might be wiser.
Considering this info comes from an exclusive source, it seems more likely that this show will actually happen.
