
- X-Men 97 Episode 10 final “Tolerance is Extinction Part 3” dropped on Disney+ yesterday, concluding the season. In the most climatic Episode yet, the X-Men face their final battle against Bastion.
So many WTF moments that left fans jaw dropped, including the X-Men scattered in time, Apocalypse set up for season 2, and Gambits dark return set up for season 2. All will be explained, but first let’s get to those cameo surprises. Captain America made his second cameo joint by Ironman in the Whitehouse. Daredevil cameos, along with Black Panther, Silver Samurai and even Cloak and Dagger. Also seeing Omega red alongside Crimson Dynamo and Dark Star, also seeing Psylocke, North Star Aroura and Puck. Scarlet Witch, Quick Silver and Paralysis also Cameoed during the Magneto’s mind scene. And finally, Peter Parker, MJ, and Flash Thompson all appeared. – Image credit Marvel
The most crucial part to take away from this is that some of these characters are canon to X-Men 97. These include Spider-Man from the 90’s animated series, Ironman from the 90’s animated series, and Black Panther, who appeared in the original X-Men 97. Ironman, Captain America, and the X-Men all appeared in the Secret Wars episode of the 90’s Spider-Man animated series.
X-Men 97 Episode 10: Rachel Summer’s and Gambit returning has Apocalypses Horseman of Death
The X-Men triumph over Bastion, but their victory scatters them across time, leading to interesting new adventures. Cyclops and Jean end up in the distant future, while other team members find themselves in 3000 BC. Along the way, they encounter En Sabah Nur, AKA Apocalypse, before his corruption by Sentinel technology, setting up intense conflict within the team.
In the future, Jean and Cyclops meet Mother Askani, who is actually their daughter, Rachel Summers, from an alternate future. In the comics, Rachel sacrifices herself to save Captain Britain, ending up 2000 years into a future ruled by Apocalypse. There, she forms the rebel alliance known as the Clan of Askani.
Cable also appears in this future because Rachel brings her brother Nathan back in time to help defeat Apocalypse, believing his techno-virus holds the key to victory against Apocalypse. Although this plan fails, Rachel manages to get help from Jean and Cyclops in the past. This happens in the comics so it could explain their arrival in this future.
The post-credit scene features Apocalypse’s return and hints at Gambit becoming his Horseman of Death. Fans are eager to see Gambit return as a villain, fighting against the X-Men, defiantly promising thrilling and action packed episodes in the X-Men series.
