We have some big news regarding Blade and Midnight Sons, including tying into each other. For starters, we have a report coming in from the insider Daniel RPK that Blade will take place in the present day. Originally the movie was supposed to take place in the past. Daniel RPK also stated that the movie will tie into Midnight Sons. This specific tie in has been speculated as likely, as most Midnight Sons are Supernatural based characters much like Blade. I heard and read a lot of people really wanting Blade to be in Secret Wars. Now Blade will be set in the present, this allows him to be in the movie. Also for those unaware, Michael Green is said to have written the script. Given his mainly good track record of writing for movies, it’s good to know Marvel finally has a writer for the film.
Blade and Midnight Sons : Mephisto
Speculation is also gaining about Mephisto joining the MCU, and this isn’t limited to likely films like Midnight Sons. In fact, it appears that this character will feature in more MCU movies than anticipated. Given Mephisto’s supernatural background, he is likely to be intertwined with the storylines of Midnight Sons and Blade. Additionally, his apparent presence in more MCU projects than expected positions him as the villain in the background. Ready to make his move at the right moment. It also suggests he will be a big villain for the supernatural side of the MCU. This mirrors the speculations surrounding Apocalypse in X-Men 97, which I previously discussed in one of my posts.
It’s exciting to see the supernatural side of the MCU gaining momentum. This aspect hasn’t been explored much before in the MCU. Exploring it now opens up numerous possibilities for other supernatural Marvel movies or shows. With major supernatural characters like Mephisto being introduced, we can expect to see more from this side of the MCU.
