Beau DeMayo is the creator of the reboot of the X-Men 97 Animated show. According to the Hollywood Reporter, he was fired just days before it’s debut on March 20th. If you are unfamiliar with him he wrote Moon knight season 1 and the new Blade. Now this is very shocking and surprising as it seems he’s already wrote season 2 of X-Men 97 and even talking about season 3!
Luckily it seems the firing has nothing to do with the show and shows he was or is making. There isn’t a reason for why Marvel fired him yet. But from reports coming form an insider reveals that there was possibly problems behind the scenes. That Insider (CanWeGetSomeToast) also said that DeMayo’s take on Blade wasn’t received well internally from Marvel. However this wasn’t the reason why he got fired.

If you’re worried about the Blade movie because DeMayo was writing it, don’t be. He won’t be a writer for the new script. In my take of why DeMayo’s direction for Blade was received badly, is mainly to do with what Marvel want’s. If DeMayo’s firing affects the success of X-Men 97, it may impact the quality of the writing in the third season if another writer takes over. Then again this is only if they choose to continue it from season 2, and depending how good the new writer/director is for it.
There isn’t an official reason for why Marvel fired him, but form all the recent news and information we have so far, it seems it is a personal thing. On a more happier note the episodes for X-Men 97 are out soon on March 20th.
