Henry Cavil has reported to be playing an MCU character, there have been lot’s of speculations on witch he may play such as Century, Hyperion and from him revealing that he has an interest in portraying Brian Brradock’s Captain Britain. For those hoping he would play a character like Hyperion, that’s ruled out as Henry Cavil doesn’t want to play another role like Superman as Hyperion is basically the Marvel version of the man of steel. As for Century it’s said that marvel are looking to cast a younger actor for him.
Despite these character speculations, It has actually been reported that after leaving the DCEU and his role as the Witcher. He has reached and agreement to portray one of two X-men Characters, one of witch could be Wolverine the role Hugh Jackman played. Of course there are many other characters he can play in the X-men for example Cyclops.
What if Marvel went with the role Captain Britain?
Captain Britain’s character ties into myths and legends, as so his powers were granted by Merlyn and his daughter Roma. This story is much like the story of Black Knight a marvel character that was introduced in the end credits for Marvels Eternals. Kirt Harrington the actors character was allured by his family history and came face to face with the Ebony Blade. The black knight is from the 6th century were he is a knight who serves at the court of King Arthur as his greatest Warrior, Dane Whitman is the Descendant of the black knight and has inherited the Ebony Blade, an enchanted weapon once wielded by the original black knight. So with these two origins of black knight and Captain Britain tying into each other with they’re ancient History could make good sense for why Henry Cavil could introduce him.

There have been roomers of a Black knight series that will be a good idea to introduce this ancient history of the mcu, in witch would tie in well with Captain Britain. Now it’s unclear whether this idea is ruled out as Henry Cavil playing a role of an X-men is becoming much more likely over recent reports. Personally I think the role of Captain Britain could end up being a bit messy, but with marvel now introducing the X-men to the MCU in Deadpool 3 it would be a good idea to have Henry cavil entering one of those roles. So I think that role would work better as we haven’t seen Captain Britain in live action yet and we have seen the success of the live action X-men films as well as it’s cartoon, so we don’t really have a idea for whether captain Britain will be a good fit.
