- Invincible season 2 episode 8 came out today! This was an awesome thrilling episode that followed the love of the comics. This will be a breakdown, Easter eggs, explaining and going through the plot.
Now, there were a bunch of references throughout the episode, I’ll go through them shortly. So this episode picked right where the previous left. With Angstrom Levy confronting Invincible, upset and driven to hate all invincibles, Angstrom threatens Debbie and Oliver. Mark get’s furious and tries to fight him with all his rage. But, he keeps getting sent to different universes whenever he tries to attack Angstrom. This is where all the references take place, and looks into deeper parts of the plot.
As I mentioned, there exist numerous references, primarily involving Invincible being repetitively thrown into different universes. Initially, we saw him being thrown into a universe where dinosaurs never went extinct, resulting in their annihilation of sapiens. We also saw Invincible being thrown into a universe similar to a Spider-Man universe. Where a character much like Spider-man engaged in combat with a character much like Doc Oc. This referenced the crossover Invincible had with Spider-man in the comics. The decision not to feature the actual Spider-Man stemmed from the fact Sonny would never let them. Following this, we witnessed him being thrown into a universe reminiscent of The Walking Dead, a nod to Steven Yean, the voice actor for Invincible. – who starred in The Walking dead television show. Furthermore, we Witnessed him in what is arguably the most captivating universe yet. – One featuring the iconic Batman.

The Massive Showdown, Invincible Vs Angstrom Levy
Invincible then plans a sneak attack on Angstrom, resulting in a massive showdown between the two. Little did Mark know, Angstrom posses greater strength than he anticipated. As viewers, we were led to believe that Angstrom would emerge victorious. However, we were witness to a side of Mark that unleashed itself without restraint. In a surge of uncontrollable rage and power, he relentlessly pummeled Angstrom Levy until his demise. Drenching himself in blood in the process. Mark, stunned by the realization that he had taken a life for the first time, struggled to rationalize his actions. – Repeatedly trying to pressure himself it was indeed necessary.
We will continue this breakdown tomorrow, delving deeper into the plot, uncovering more Easter eggs, and exploring season 3. So be sure to look out for it and read, as I will cover very important information and missed details about the episode.
