We’ve got an update regarding Iron Fist and Luke Cage joining the MCU. This has been a topic of discussion, especially following the canonization of Daredevil and Punisher. With a recent tease from Finn Jones, who portrays Iron Fist, the prospect of seeing Iron Fist and Luke Cage together in the MCU is gaining likability. He posted a picture on his Instagram story of an old Marvel Comic Book, titled “Power Man and Iron Fist. Those unfamiliar with Power Man, likely know him as Luke Cage – Power Man was his original name. Also in that picture was a Dragon book, I’ll explain both of these details but first hear’s the picture.

Interestingly, in this particular issue it features a range of different Marvel charters, including Avengers, Fantastic 4 and more. Additionally, this suggests Finn Jones is using a comic book with various different characters. Some of witch we haven’t seen in the MCU yet. So he sort of set up this tease of Iron Fist and Luke Cage in MCU, by using that sense of characters we haven’t seen in the MCU. Moreover, to create this idea of new introductions. We also came across a book titled “The Dragon – Neverending story”, which resonates with my earlier post about Iron Fist confronting a dragon to acquire the power of the Iron Fist. This deed is frowned upon by Shang Chi’s community, which like I said can put the two as enemies to each other. As you can tell, this story he posted can tease a few things.
Iron Fist and Luke Cage: Introduction in a heroes for Hire
Finn Jones in the past has expressed how he’d love to come back as Iron Fist in a hero’s for hire series. After his tease of him and Luke Cage, this seems more and more likely. These two characters in a heroes for hire, is probably the best way to go about introducing them. As making a whole other origin story that we kinda already know for these two characters, doesn’t go well with MCU’s current plan. That plan being to reduce the amount of content they are pumping into the phases. Wherever Luke Cage and Iron Fist end up, it’s going to be inserting what Marvel does with them.
