- Marvel’s Blade Movie delayed again
Marvel’s Blade movie has hit yet another snag, losing its director and undergoing yet another rewrite. Fortunately, it’s not a full script overhaul; some of Michael Green’s original work will stay. According to insiders like Daniel RPK, Marvel is keeping parts of Green’s script but is on the hunt for new writers to bring fresh energy to the project. Despite everything this project has undergone, Mahershala Ali remains locked in as the film’s star. But it still needs someone to helm the project. Originally director Yann Demanege was selected to take on the project. But, after reports of his exit, this is no longer the case. Well, the good news is we have a director that originally wanted to helm the project. And likely still wants to.
John Wick 4 director Chad Stahelski had expressed is passion for wanting to helm the project. Unfortunately back then, Marvel already had a selected director. Now this director has exited, Chad could be the one to fill the space. The impressive action sequences in John Wick certainly makes him a good fit for blade. However, don’t take this as certain that he will helm the project. In my opinion, I personally thought John Wick’s (character, not the film) had a bland display. So this director would definitely not be my first, second or even third choice for that fact.
Marvel’s Blade Movie delayed again: This could set back Marvels Midnight Sons film
Marvel’s Midnight Sons will in doubt have direct tie ins with the Blade film, and feature the blade character. Witch is exiting, but Blade being delayed could set back this movie, possibly creating a Domino effect, pushing back other MCU films. But let’s remain hopeful that this doesn’t happen. As for the writer, Eric Pearson seems like the latest choice to take on the script.
Hope for Blade is on a major downfall, with fans and I quote saying “In my perception, It’s getting closer and closer to just not being”. So you can see the movie is on the edge of a cliff on people being hopeful for it. But, still hang in there. Marvel’s Blade Movie delayed again
