One of our favourite MCU hero’s has a hopeful potential return, with Robert Downey Jr reprising his role as Ironman. For a long time fans have been eagerly awaiting to see if RDJ will return and when. In an discussion with actor Jodie Foster, Robert Downey Jr expressed how open minded he’d be to putting back on the armour. In a question, “Would you think of putting the suit back on for Tony Stark?” “RDJ replied, I’ve become surprisingly open minded to the idea.” “Probably the most like me character, strangely I’ve ever played, even though he’s way cooler than I am.”
Kevin Fige’s View on return?
This is a very exiting update or even just something that will give you an idea of the actor’s view on returning. Although we have a good idea on RDJ’s view on returning, what about Kevin Fige’s? If you want a return based on Kevin Figes view, don’t worry that still has hope. Hugh Jackman has granted you that wish. The Wolverine actor said he’d only return for Secret Wars if he got to interact with RDJ’s Ironman and Tobey Maguries Spiderman. Jugging by how much Kevin Fige has said how impressed he is with Deadpool and Wolverine. – He will likely allow Hugh Jackman to get this awesome interaction. And come on, not allowing something this cool is a massive swing and miss.
Robert Downey Jr return as Ironman: How Could Ironman return?
Most likely he’ll be bought back as a variant of Tony Stark in Secret Wars. What kind of variant? Could even be another hero? Who Knows? However I doubt Marvel will go with another hero for RDJ to take on. RDJ himself may just want to stick with Ironman, and really that’s the best choice for Marvel to go with. Interestingly there’s actually been fan suggestions of what this variant of Ironman should be. I personally love them. The best one is that in this variant of Ironman’s universe his Peter Parker died instead of him dying in the 616 universe. That would create such a cool interaction with Ironman and Peter and add a lot of depth.
