Review and Breakdown
The first episode definitely lived up to the love of the original series. Everything, every character was great. Bringing back the original intro music was the best part, and really gave me that original series vibe. The episode mainly featured the coping of how the X-men were dealing with their loved professor now gone. With Cyclops trying to lead the rest of the team put’s him in the tragic conflict with Wolverine. Which was another element of the episode I really liked. As it made that feeling of it being like the original series even better.
The action and fight scenes were amazing, particularly the scene of Cyclops Jumping from the exploded ship and landing with his beams. Then making an epic transition into all of the team landing on the ground, and Cyclops saying “To me my X-Men”. A line may I say was just golden speech.
Looking more into the story, it featured a group of people, named the FOH. Standing for Friends of Humanity, if unclear, it messages the good riddance of Mutant kind. We saw them taking in a Young mutant, quietly known as Sun Spot. In this scene, we were given important information to the story. Including one of the members saying “The buyers are really going to pay 10 grand for every mutant we bring in”. This means someone is behind the scenes planning something crude for the Mutants. Interesting as we don’t if said person wants them dead, alive or something bigger than both. Adding to the great experience we were given an awesome fight between the Senitals and the X-Men. Each one epically displaying their powers.
